Christopher-

Do you still want to shoot this "dog"? Have you already done it?? Can anyone tell if this genuinely looks good or is it a me-too product that won't generate much in the way of sales?

TMS320C6201

Blue Wave benchmarks TMS320C6201 revision B silicon at less than 1.5 Watts.

To date a major stumbling block for developers wanting to deploy high end
C6000 applications was the high power consumption. Consuming around 7 Watts
per processor results in a need to specify larger cooling systems, larger
power supplies, comprise processor density and consequently increase cost.

With the latest C6201 this is no longer the case.

The latest C6201 processors have been integrated onto Blue Wave's
multi-processor PCI board. Extensive benchmarking and measurements have
been conducted including 'max power' tests which exercise the processor
extensively to give a real-world power consumption figures. This 'max
power' run resulted in a power consumption of less than 1.5 Watts.
