Speaking to a drug rep today- astra-maker of prilosec, treatment for h.pylori- stated that cdc will shortly be coming out with a strong statement about diagnosing and eradicating h.pylori as perhaps a way of decreasing risk for gastric cancer- h.pylori is being implicated as a potential cause for this pretty lethal cancer, and perhaps may be associated with other cancers as well-if this be the case, then in office testing for h.pylori will become very important and probably requested by many many patients- stay tuned! Bruce
