That statement was not originally intended for Sam. At its surface, it is a statement that Christians should not seek the friendship of non-christians. I dont think that is what you believe. If tht were to be held true, people of different beliefs could never find a common ground within which to be friendly, to exchange ideas, and to come to
learn to live together.
In fact, that kind of statment is what leads to seperatism, and in extreme cases, violence, bcause thereis no common ground, no understanding.
