Of course you can own stock in a private company. My question was about how Mr. VanderKelen obtained his ownership. Did he buy out one or more of the owners? Is he now the majority owner?

Also, I'm still not clear about the order for the 30 cases of TON. Did Sweet Factory order these cases or did RETN order these cases for their own candy stores?
