The mass market knows what a mess is created by insufficient IRQs. And they don't want to fool with SCSI if it is not a high performance item needing the spare hook. Adaptec once had its eyes on this type of market, which is why it once carried a much higher stock premium., I agree with you they are no longer eyeing that market, thus the stock price has adjusted itself accordingly.
