It's easy in the face of a protracted decline in share value to wax morose and stare into the abyss. But as the gloom begins to clear, the visionaries, able to see beyond the current fog of despair, will be the first to realize the opportunity and take action.

If you liked AAPL at 39, then it really looks attractive at 33 1/2.

The uncertainty surrounding the survivability of the Mac OS platform has always been the source of volatility for this stock. Nothing has really changed in that respect. MSFT and Mr. Gates needs Apple as much now as ever; perhaps more now than ever. After all, the Mac OS is the only MSFT OS competitor that does not compete head to head in the Intel wonderland.

Besides, that old song of their demise is really too tired to get much air play now.
