Phil, I am still here, and yes I have been busy buying Camelot. Since the Q Report, I have added significantly to my holdings. My last buy was 12-31-96 at .625. I sold part of that 1-7-97 for a quick 25% profit. Not bad for 7 days.
Sorry, but I just can't buy into your death wish for Camelot. Announcing new products, regardless of what you think about them, hardly indicates a dying company. Additionally, Danny seems to have an endless supply of financial support. Did you know about the 12-6-96 private placement of stock? If I recall it correctly, $3,595,000 was bought by overseas investors. Do an Edgar search for the 8K.
Also, Danny has alot of money at personal risk here. I don't think that his investment banker background would allow him to be throwing good money into this if he didn't believe there was a way to make this work. I, for one, like it when an owner demonstrates his own confidence by putting his own money into something.
Talking about other standard based applications, I just searched Infospace for online users and guess what? Searching all H323 Users, I find only 16 currently on line. It just doesn't seem as if this internet telephony technology is widely accepted yet. As I have constantly stated, this is an infant technology that needs to mature and be accepted. No one application can yet claim to be the "standard." 16 users do not indicated a standard. These users included Intel's, Microsoft's, Netscape's, Vocaltec's, and others. Do the search yourself. It doesn't appear as if Camelot has really missed anything yet.
As to Camelot's 2.0, I understand that the development is nearing completion. It was announced previously that development would be completed by the end of 1996. They really aren't off that much yet.
Check out my web site. This is a first attempt by me so I know it can be improved upon:
