Paul,

Re: "Yousef & Intel Investors - Intel will present a paper ..."

Here is a very important paper on Intel's .18um process. This will be
given by Mark Bohr at IEDM next month. -->

"1:35 p.m.
8.1
A High Performance 180 nm Generation, 140 nm LGate Logic Technology,
M. Bohr, Intel Corporation, Hillsboro, OR

A 180 nm generation logic technology has been developed with high performance 140 nm LGATE 1.3-1.5 V transistors and
six layers of aluminum interconnects. The interconnects feature high aspect ratio metal lines for low resistance and SiOF for
reduced capacitance. 16 Mbit SRAMs with a 5.59 mcell size have been built on this technology with excellent performance
and yield."

If you remember (and I'm sure you do), Intel Fellow M. Bohr gave an IEDM
presentation on Intel's .25um process in Dec. '96 with volume starting
in that process in Sept. '97. If history repeats, .18um will be in high
volume by mid '99.

Make It So,
Yousef
