Many websites will store the password in your Web browser's cookie file, which means that any website can see your password.

Well, you just found a major screwup by Ziff-Davis. This statement is simply untrue, and is a reckless endangerment of the public's confidence in the net. I understand now why people are so scared of cookies.

Only the site which sets a cookie is able to view that cookie.

How convenient that the author of the article is unknown.
