Hi MH,
I listened to the recent I2 conference call and the CEO made a couple of provocative comments about moving into ERP's space. Obviously, Dell has done wonderfully w/o ERP and I suspect that a number of companies could do the same.

I read the recent Barron's articles which punched I2 up this week on the I2 thread. I think they mention this as a substitute for ERP. Also, the company that I2 is partnering with Industri - Maticmatica (IMIC) apparently has products that allow the SCM system to do a lot of what ERP does.

Because SCM solves important business operations optimization questions, which ERP doesn't, I think it could happen.

Regards
David
