Sam, "They gave honor to their ancestors and themselves by writing them into the 'Book of Life' i.e., the New Testament." This point I at this time have to disagree with. I find the 'Book of Life' to be the 'Sefer Yetzirah', also called the 'Book of Creation' or the 'Tree of Life' written by Abraham himself. But this answer is far from resolved for me, and the answer will likely change with the journey. As for the rest of it, it certainly does raise a lot of questions of providence. However, didn't the Egyptians do much the same in their texts? A rose by any other name... Peace, Darrin
