I think for me it's got something to do with the stock being 'punished' enough. I guess I'm thinking I'm not so concerned with the earnings - they'll get their share of the business, and I'm not thinking about how high the stock can or will go. Rather I guess I see some margin of safety with BD. Selling below book value and selling at better (in my unqualified opinion)ratios than its peers-- there's some margin of safety there (I think). But I've been wrong many times before. With irritated analysts, upset shareholders, knowledgeable sellers... maybe the stock will go to 7. That would tell me I'm wrong -g-.
