You are right Darrin minor differences become not so little sometimes. Your idea that "a" Corinthian was one defined as what you said ,is not correct. that implies that all were. All were not. Even in an age of sexual immorality, Corinth was known for its licentious life-style, but this did not mean ALL were that way. Paul, in his trip to Corinth went where?(Acts 18) So even there, there was "religion"
And what better place for a Church of God to be? Right where it is needed.
I know Darrin you can use all this to make an "inner " argument for yourself. I can't tell you not to. All I know is that I believe in the real person of Jesus the Christ coming to this earth, living , dying as my savior, and being raised on the third day, to the glory of the Father, and HE IS on the throne ever interceding.
I do know if you not careful, you will replace Jesus the Christ, with Darrin the god. We all have to be watchful for that.
God Bless
