I was thinking about reading Victor Neiderhoffer's The Education of a Speculator. If I remember correctly, he got killed in 4Q 1997... writing naked calls perhaps. What's the skinny on this guy and is this book toxic waste? BTW: Why do a disproportionate number of people from Texas skools, that goto i-banking firms, end up in the energy groups? Is houston that great, or are the yankees pigeon-holing? Also.. your opin on Enron Capital & Trade (MNA work or natural gas trading) and Simmons, Co.(MNA advisory for the downstream) as far as places to work? Bonus question: how can I incorporate Lobagola analysis (african writer's observation that when elephants stampede through a village, they come back through on the same route, reason Neiderhoffer avoids trends) into my trading?
