>>That is my problem with my long term holds. I am a trader by nature,
regardless of how I try to change my line of thinking. If one of my longs goes up nicely, I have to sell and look for a reentry. I have tried to change, but can't. I am getting better but it is a long road.<<

I think we're all looking into the same mirror, Jeff. That is so downright true, it's comical.
The only way I was able to stop myself from doing this was to open DRIPS for the sole purpose of long term growth. Darn good companies that I can't sell on a dime. I just keep sending them money every month, building & amassing for the long term. If they miss their qtr I don't have to freak out when the price drops, as it allows for better buying the next month.
Then there are my trading accounts where I can trade the same stocks to my heart's content. This allows me the best of both worlds: building long term wealth while satisfying the nature of the beast to actively trade.
