I really shouldn't send this, because the guys at MBT are professional, run a good service, and are responsive - but here goes -
I lived very happily in California from 1989 until last year - in Sonoma county, God's country by most standards (that's Northern California, not LA-LA land). But there is an intellectual laziness that now seems to have been bred into the California character - Hey, ya know what I mean, what's so important about spelling or correct usage, ya know.
It's too bad. Not using the language precisely leads to fuzzy thinking, and Californians have, by and large, become very fuzzy thinkers. |
