Big news? I think it was pretty much expected that Intel would push the Celeron A to 366Mhz before Christmas. All they had to do is clock multiply it to 5.5.
Pretty obvious that Intel wants to flood the market with Celerons. They want to stop AMD dead in it's tracks.
Look at the prices on Price watch. 300As for $108 and 333s for $118
So it's "bye bye" to the Pentium II-350.
Intels line looks like Celeron A 300A, 333, 366 and Pentium II-400 and 450, maybe 500 going into next year. In January they will likely introduce Socket 370 interface Celerons. The Dixon may be the next Pentium II or whatever if it's taken off the mobile platform. I expect the Katmai to debut at the end of February. Ho Hum...
