Ausdauer, I didn't say that that anyone would be satisfied with 8MB of memory. I said that $30-40 worth of EOM memory at <$1 per MB would be enough. If IDC is right, by the year 2000, that will translate to >40MB ... more than the largest size for CF cards currently in the retail channel.

Those that argue how pixel counts are on the rise might take note of the fact that the Kodak DC260 has a pixel count roughly equal to HDTV. Ansel Adams would have wanted more but -- if it can wow crowds on large-screen TVs -- an everyday photographer should be more than pleased.
