I would like to see INTC split, but I don't think it is coming this Tuesday. I don't know if you are right or wrong about buying calls in a retirement account, but I have been doing it for years. In fact, I currently have INTC Jan 130s and DELL Jan 50s. I make probably 100 option purchases a year in my IRA as well as doing covered call writing (my position is INTCW with Apr 150s, maybe 155s (I can't remember right now) written against it).
