I was reviewing what I should do about SAP- buy more,
hold or dump them. My broker gave me a S & P assessment.
It said that on 12/31/97 institutions held 2% of the
stock. I checked again with S & P who said that this was a
also correct in October 1998. This is unbelievable. But if
true it would answer a lot of questions about the stock.

Can someone verify or correct this.

I checked with freeedgar.com but couldn't find anything
about institutional holdings. But a a reminder, the three
founders plus two non-profit foundations controlled by two
of them own about 65 % of the stock. Wow!

I did not read the SEC filings carefully- they are
sophorific, but I did not find anything about distribution
of stock options to their senior people - how can they
hire good senior people without them.

Baan also had a foundation that was involved in sales and
collection of royalties.
