As predicted by Aleta, PT has already "polluted" the new "facts" thread with off-topic comments. IMO, he's already rendered that thread worthless.

Personally, I think that a "facts only" thread is a great idea, but as we are finding out, policing it is not going to be easy.

If you want to discuss what is posted on the "facts" thread, discuss it HERE - don't polute the other thread and make it hard for people to find things.

Or is that PartyTime's intent?

And, oh, PT - what the hell is a "factual alternative"? Is the non-existence of, say, the Holocost a "factual alternative"?

We should see if SI is willing to erase the thread, so that we can try to start again. But I suspect the same outcome is inevitable.
