Jack, thanks so much for your reply. I'll just keep looking for an internet group of intraday traders to exchange information.

Question Jack, do the market makers (INTC for example cause you seem to have a great understanding of them and I am developing that knowledge myself) make as much on shorts as longs? Do the market makers have any vested interest in pushing up INTC or don't they care one way or another cause the money is on both sides equally. Sometimes when I watch how they push the stock up intraday with what I perceive as such "thin excuses" for trades in which the stock is flying up I figure they want it to go up for a small extreme for some reason--go through stops, panic shorts, that type of thing is all I can think of. But I wonder since this is a "game of probabilities" if the higher probability of INTC's move via the personal interests of the market makers votes for the side of up.

I have never heard anyone comment on whether the market makers make the same amount of money on the downside (hence, my thinking is that they could care less which way it goes) versus the upside. But if there is more to be made in pushing it up then I would think there is more probability in the upside. Please sophisticate my thinking. Thanks Jack.

Autumn
