You are in denial. Intel has gross margins upward 53% and net income 1998 close to $6B. Their net income is greater than gross revenues for these cos:

Dun & Bradstreet         Bank of Boston       Wells Fargo
Corning                  Ryder Systems        Boise Cascade
Bethelhelm Steel         Nike                 Bank of New York

Just to name a few.
