Look at the Big Picture (what this can do for the future of both companies), just to start its going to increase AMES's sales from 2.2 billion to around 4 BILLION. 2. Also, they can have access to where Hills Stores buys their products in which I'm sure AMES had that in mind when considering the acquisition. The market looks like they approve, I've seen alot of 20,000 share buys 25,000 share buys and trading volume was almost 500,000 shares traded in the first 30 minutes, daily trading volume is 87,000 shares.
