Bill - I doubt the "country" as represented by the polls, will turn on Bill Clinton over the Pollard issue. The talking heads would tsk, tsk, a handful of "the vast right-wing conspirators" in Congress would speak up and immediately be made out to be anti-Israel, anti-peace bigots in the media, and Slick would say to the American people that he was doing what the American people elected him to do.

We have to understand that the bar of morality and character has been lowered so far that Clinton can do no wrong in the eyes of the "polled majority." Surely, we will see Slick's defenders here attempt to shift the blame to Newt - ooops, no, he's gone. Let's see - the next Republican presidential candidate - yea, that's who will be responsible for letting a treasonous spy go home to make Slick look like the peace-maker.

Mr. K.
