SI trivia.... the Bloomberg newswire...

The title of the newswire was:
Benchmarq Stock Up as Internet Group Speculates on Earnings.

It went on to say something like ...

Benchmarq Microelectronics Inc. shares jumped 18%, capping a 29% rise this week, which an analyst attributed to speculation over the Internet of higher earnings and a possible takeover attempt.
Benchmarq shares rose 3 3/4 to 24 3/4 on trading of 695,100 shares, more than 4 times the 3-month daily average of 163,000. Daily trading volume this week has averaged 483,000 shares.
The stock rose after a subscriber to an Internet discussion group called Silicon Investor posted speculation that Benchmarq will earn 25 cents a share on revenue of more than $12 million this quarter, said analyst Darren Von Behren with ComVest Partners Inc. That's well above Wall Street estimates. Silicon Investor is closely watched by some investors in computer-related stocks.
Dallas-based Benchmarq makes integrated circuits for portable and power sensitive electronics systems.
Von Behren said he questions the Internet estimates. He said he still expects Benchmarq to report net income of 18 cents a share on revenue of about $10.9 million.
The estimate on the Internet ``is above what we consider a reasonable range,'' Von Behren said.
Benchmarq also has been the subject of takeover speculation, he said, although he considers that ``highly unlikely.''
Benchmarq insiders have filed to sell more than 200,000 shares since October. Insiders normally are barred from buying or selling stock if their company is involved in takeover talks.
No one from Benchmarq was immediately available to comment. The company began trading in the public stock market last December at $8 a share.
