Chris, At last we have people here actually holding these things in their hot little hands and we are getting good reports. Yours sounds good too. For you to be impressed, it must be good. I guess the final test is when you put your money where your mouth is and buy your own. It sounds pretty positive.

All circuits busy isn't much good though. They are going to have to have a better system than busy signals for controlling customer demand. I stick by my continuously running Auction Plan whereby subscribers get really cheap prices when the system is not fully loaded and pay through the nose when it's busy. A bit of software should be able to do that.

Ramsey, China is well under way with GSM and they are improving existing GSM systems mostly, but also several new areas. CDMA is getting its share of testing and I'm sure they will start running CDMA when they think the time and price is right. By waiting for a while, they can probably get better prices and be sure of handsets being available from multiple suppliers. Don't panic, it seems all good to me. Don't forget, Hong Kong, which is now [near enough] China was the first system. I bet Hutchison gets a chance to expand into the rest of China or at least special economic zones. Then watch the fur fly.

Maurice
