LOL - read the article again, especially the date. SIA is a cheerleader for this industry, this industry needs capital to run factories (it doesn't work on cash flow) so these are the predictions. A year ago the revenues for 1998 from all semis were predicted to be 80-90% over what they are turning out to be. They go to Arizona, swim inthe lake and dream about a nifty press release, and it echoes along the corridors of the media while Appleton can sell his shares. At high price. The price is high, the market says nothing is too high (see Amazon, AOL, Cisco, etc.) so valuation doesn't work. It is all hype followed by gloom and fear succeeded by hype. We clearly have too much money in the USA. Greg
