The conclusion that either ASML is going to be at a huge advantage, or that SVGI and UTEK are doomed is perhaps premature. If the deal with Intel's EUV consortium goes through, I don't believe it would be an endorsement of ASML or an indication that Intel will be making plans to buy ASML steppers. What it would do is give ASML an invitation to the party, and at their size they'd likely do well. It's in Intel's best interest to have as many available vendors as possible, and choose who meets their needs best at the time. EUV technology is probably 5+ years out, if it pans out. There are other contendors for the next generation lithography, and EUV has no lead on technical merit that I'm aware of. It does have Intel's backing though..
