Eagle Environmental 1 of at least 3 companies interested
in Texas City hazardous Waste Disposal property.

According to Texas AG's Office, EGVRD is but one of a few suitors for this property. The property is held in bankruptcy and the Texas AG is involved because they caused Malone SVCS to go into bankruptcy and are acting as the watchdog to ensure that "Whoever purchases the property has the money and technical expertise and experience to clean up the property and operate it safely. Eagle is certainly capable of doing that."

Another competing company South East Texas Environmental (STE) has already filed in Bankruptcy court (public record). The AG expects to see Eagle file in the near future as an interested party in the property (I will call KCAP to see if that is true). The Nov 2nd meeting was confirmed and the AG stated that they are willing to meet with any company that shows interest in cleaning up the property and operating it safely.

The AG's Office stated that the property is not a "bidding war" property. High bidders are welcome but must be "prequalified" by virtue of having the capital for improvements and the technical expertise to complete the improvements. Eagle has met those so called prequalifications. The AG gave me another contact from the Southern district Bankruptcy Court so that I can verify filings and other property specifics.
