I will be at DISPLAY WORKS '97. I'll check out SI Diamond's display as well as all the others. If anyone has particular questions for any of the vendors or speakers that will be there, please let me know. I will ask as many of them as possible. The first question I would have for SI Diamond is whether their lamp is based on a diode structure or triode. In a diode device, the acceleration voltage is modulated to control current and brightness. In a triode device the electron emission current is controlled by a gate electrode, then the electrons are accelerated by a constant high voltage towards the phosphor. -bob
