Here's the list, in order, of "12 Companies that Define the DIRECTION of the Database Industry:" 1/ Informix 2/ Microsoft 3/ Oracle 4/ IBM 5/ Sun Microsystems 6/ Red Brick Systems 7/ VERITY 8/ Sybase 9/ Microstrategy 10/ HWP 11/Tandem Computers and finally 12/ BEA Sytems.
