Dan, With respect, I don't think the two of us are going to approach clarity. Many references you make are caged (back to the fifties, for example). I am not interested in drawing a line and shouting back and forth at each other from our "sides." See, one of the things that blocks movement to something better is the whole idea of sides. IMO Here is my best shot. We are self determining, that is a fact, not something we have to fight over. In addition to that, we are responsive creatures. We respond to the creation around us. With free choice we can exploit or be of benefit. The injustice we have enamored our current society with is beyond the beyond. I can't even begin to talk about it in specifics, because it is now becoming acceptably indemic. jbe, and pezz picked up on my tone with reference to how we are currently attempting to influence the sexual development and outlook of youth. The confines of your back yard as marvelous as it may be, does not describe the adventure of life for me. Life in and of it self has deep and full purpose, there is an estrangement between this and devotion to sides that have long forsaken its essence.
