Thanks for the explanation, bob. So, is it correct to assume that this would be a price/performance issue? The display device utilizing a triode would be much more expensive but much more efficient? (and possibly more cost-effective in the long run?) Another question I have is on their statement that they will demonstrate the new lamps in a forty-eight (48) pixel, fully matrix addressed device....This sounds like a small model of the device? Or am I misunderstanding the size of the pixels? I wonder how far this is from a fully functioning product ready for a potential buyer? Also, do dfels really show off their stuff in the sunlight? Is this why they are going after the outdoor signage market first? Or are the markets so large, competition smaller, in this area? Barb
