Khang Tran: No, you are the one in err, not Jmac, your personal financial planner at your firm should be fired. IRS don't allow margin account within IRA, it is true, but it don't mean option acct is not allowed, everybody can open option account within IRA to some degree of trading restriction. IRS code don't allow short put or short call or spread, but allow buy call/put, sell covered call, PERIOD. Hope it help. Sunny
