The conversation we were having had to do with something I labeled handing children "active social grenades." At that point you felt we had 100% agreement. Will wonders never cease? You left off last night saying you would have more comment today. There has been some contagion since because others have waded in. But if I can summarize, it is my current contention that our society at this point is contaminated with pervasive and endemic injustice regarding the well being of its members. This is manifest to the point that now we are so fascinated by our own affection for its marvel and we so tremble at its columns of grandeur, there is little hope for the ascendence of the terrible force that it would take to replace grenades with the innocence of childhood wonder. Where would such a force come from? IMO, It would have to be from the grass roots of the conscience of our citizenry; long absent from the fray.
