Ciena lands new Cable & Wireless contract November 12, 1998 03:46 PM LINTHICUM, Md., Nov 12 (Reuters) - Ciena Corp. on Thursday said it landed a new contract to supply equipment to increase the capacity of fiber optic networks for Britain's Cable & Wireless Communications . Cable & Wireless, already a Ciena customer, plans to use a more powerful Ciena product in its network in early 1999. A $16 million order has already been placed, Ciena said. REUTERS
