Well, I've hung on these pat few months and the arbitrage scenario still confounds me. These two stocks have not come together. Based on the 0.775 exchange rate investors are either betting that T's $60 share price will drop to $51 or they are betting that TCOMA's $40 share price will increase to $46. Therefore, somewhere between $46 and $51 should be a decent price for these two companies. The fact that they cannot agree suggests that they think the merger will not happen. I think that is garbage.

This merger is inevitable - now more than before. The fact that I can buy TCOMA at $40 and achieve a nearly 20% gain in less than 6 months seems to good to be true.

Anybody know what is going on?
