We "knew" because CNBC pre-announced that it was going to be announced right after the next commercial. Doesn't CNBC discuss dozens of companies every day. They don't all appreciate 1,200% in one day just from a mention. Please don't get me wrong on this. I applaud anyone who essentially got a decade worth of returns in one afternoon. More power to you. I was alerted to it at 18 and did nothing. Too bad for me. My point was, this market is particularly irrational; there was absolutely no way anyone could have predicted a close of $31, even if you did see the commercial preview. It's one thing to say you were shrewed enough to jump on it when you saw the commercial. It's quite another to say you had any clue that the stock would react like this. Congratulations.
