Scumbria, Hey, I'd have to say that AMD has come a long way in the last year, in spite of Jerry, the biggest blowhard in the industry. If I worked at AMD and this guy started making promises (OK might be's) about 2001, I'd start looking for the nearest exit. Tandem has been a very innovative company for over 20 years. What I've been hearing from some employees though, is that it's changed a lot since Compaq took over. Compaq's manufacturing atmosphere and climate are taking over the former creative engineering atmosphere and climate at Tandem. Just an example, people are minitored for hits on non-work related internet sites. Geez, that'd shut me down (except for at home). Just passing on what I heard, since you mentioned Tandem/Compaq. Tony
