It happens, but more often than not it is a "forced" delineation. Speaking as a fellow "mosaic", I would say that the discussions here often are not discussions at all; one or both of the parties are beating up on a straw man. A assumes that B thinks thus and such, while B assumes A thinks thus and such, while in fact neither one of them thinks any such thing...Can make for some very Alice in Wonderland-ish exchanges ....(Especially when the primary concern is to "win" an "argument", rather than to gain understanding.)
