It appears we have reached a point where our respective opinions have crystallized.
I see a fundamental conflict at work here, one which has the two of us apparently on either side. It is the basic tension between Righteousness and Freedom.
I am not declaring that what you know to be right isn't so. But I am asking for the freedom to dissent - if I feel like it. This is a vital distinction imho. I want to have the freedom to have a different concept of life and God than you. And yet I want to be a member of the same nation as you [I presume you live in the USA].
If those who believe as you do did a revolution and took power here, would the basic bulwark between Church and State be maintained?
