Christian and all--Everyone is focused on AVCO's ridiculous movement, but some others were out there too.
Check out MCOM, up over 40% on this release:
biz.yahoo.com
Essentially they are saying that since MSFT is in the area they are so they are on the right track because MSFT is a successful company. This paired with their earnings release of Oct 30 is interesting reading since they increased their losses from .94 a share to 1.13 a share.
Being a cynical sort I felt like I was reading the equivalent of them standing up and yelling "We should go up too, we are an internet company!" Don't earnings matter any more? I thought profits were the reason companies were in business.
For what it is worth I am not shorting the internets right now. I don't short 'market darlings' and the whole sector is a market darling. When stocks get this irrational they are fully capable of devouring a short and they don't mind getting even more irrational to do it.
All the Best
