Richard this is the most satisfying answer I can find--a combination of daytraders shorting and Kernan's last spotlighting--post taken from Yahoo.Max < not the technology.. by: mindyo 140 of 174 it was a short squeeze. The float is so small, and the price so low, it was easy to hoard this stock, while shorters were shorting into the rally. Then some small squeezes ensued..and then at about 340 pm it got a cnbc mention...and shot up on a very brutal and vicious short squeeze. Feel sorry for the shorts involved, and happy for the holders of the stock. Good luck all.>
