Re: blowing away estimates.

I am trying to calculate the earnings growth from the same quarter last year. Can someone please tell me whether the EPS was 17 or 18 cents? That 1 cent difference translates to EG of 65% vs. 55% (approx.).

Assuming forward PEG = 1 for fair value of a growth company (EG > 40% say) and that EG remains stable, backward PE = EG * 100 * (1 + EG). This gives DELL backward PE's of 85 and 107 respectively. Given that the backward PE of DELL is in the low 70's now, DELL has blown away estimates in my book.

Dumping DEC 75 calls tomorrow morning but holding on to 2001 leaps and stock and have limit buys for more 2001 strike 90 leaps.
