Hi Mike, re: Dell from Reuters. >>>>>But the ravenous pace was not enough to satisfy some investors, as the stock fell to $66.63 in after-hours trading, adding to an earlier $2.75 decline that occurred during the regular session ahead of the report.<<<<

Dumb question time:

1. What is "after-hours trading?"

2. How does a stock open at a different price than it had when it closed?

3. Sometimes on TV, Maria B. or someone looks at something off-screen and says a stock is going to open higher or lower? What are they looking at, and is it available to the rest of us?

4. Sometimes a stock has really bad news before it opens, and it opens late. Why?

Thanks for all your kind assistance,

CobaltBlue
