I agree with your analysis Mark and with the need for stronger marketing focus at IMG. However, I wish to comment on your analogy with AMSC's market cap. The market seems to like AMSC's focus on SMES. And even though the SMES market is a greenfield business that is totally untested, the market is willing to take the time to understand AMSC's plans and assumptions. Furthermore, it is clear to the market that AMSC is not in the commodity business IMG is so hotly persuing. As for IMG itself, the lack of focus is just killing its share. And rightly so. Even if a product happens to fly one day, the current management style at IMG is the kind that would happily blow it all on pet projects. I really hope Rosner's departure will help the company get some focus. FWIW
