Yehah! - Up to 44.5 on a down day- anybody know what is up?
Harvey, Chris and Maurice - thanks for all the explanations of ways in which internet can be used with cell phones. Any way that having Eudora helps QCOM to do this? Just wondering.
Chris more on the sales effort at the PrimeCo stores in the Houston effort. This is from a friend there who reports faithfully on all of the nuances of the sales effort:

I bought a phone. $199, $100 rebate, $.23 per minute, 100 minutes
free per month, $50 per month fee with no contract, first minute on
incoming calls free, free voice mail, caller id, didn't get the three way
boinking or callus interruptus (additional costs).

So far it works fine. Main upside remains the freebies. Really haven't
noticed any perceptible differences in clarity , drops, etc. Like the
features (voice mail, caller id, simplicity in programming).

Babes at the store: 6.5's and 7.0's. Knowledgeable but no wood. Babes
touched my arm and shoulders several times, nice sales gimmick. Bought at
the PrimeCo store, easier in and out, more knowledge, less trouble (you buy
at Best Buy and you have to go to the Prime Co store to get hooked up
anyway). Hooked me up in 15 minutes; more time with sales babe. Store
finish is good, product explanation and selling is simple (they are
afterall selling one product and two services). There was a tech guy to explain that this is essentially unproven
technology and that we don't have any idea what will happen when the system
gets loaded.

$15 tariff to get the phone number of your dreams. (Most were taken, took
forever to get a reasonable one).
