At this time, based on short and intermediate term momentum readings, the strongest Select Funds are:

Electronics: Buy 10/9 : + 40.7%
Technology: Buy 10/9: + 29.6%
Food & Agriculture: Buy 10/8: + 10.3%
Developing Communications: Buy 10/9: + 25.1%
Retailing: Buy 10/12: + 15.1%

Money could be added to these positions IF an investment was made close to the time of their last Buy signals. Otherwise, it is far too risky to make a new investment at this time, and there is nothing wrong with holding on for now, since today appears to be a particularly iffy time to put new money into the market, even where the strongest sectors are concerned.

While still rated as Holds, I am closely watching the following sectors for signs of additional deterioration:

Chemicals, Health Care, Insurance, Medical Delivery, and Multimedia.

Lousy week as anticipated. Selling any position in Utilities seems reasonable at this juncture as well.

Have a good weekend.

Bernie
