Thank you for all the thoughtful advice. To reciprocate, here's a suggestion on how Democrats can become a majority party again. Demand a $60 Billion tax increase. Include in your tax reform package 95% tax rates ( no need to get greedy ) for the rich, say, anyone how earns more than $50,000. Suggest we create 15 new cabinet level departments to administer a cornucopia of new programs for the Children, the Old, the unfirm, the out of shape, members of 11 of the 12 genders, members of 124 of the 125 racial groups, and (lets be bold) 1023 of the worlds 1024 great religions. Confiscate all guns. They kill children. Institute $10/gallon gasoline tax. Bicycling is healthier anyway. Close every nuclear, coal and gas power plant in the country. Children have to breath you know. The people will love you. Finally, someone in Washington will be working for us. President Wellstone and his Dem House and Senate can then shepherd us down the new Shining Path to the 21 century.
